As an option, Schaefer offers a variety of wire stacking systems for their fully automatic crimping machine Megomat 1000. In comparison to the passive wire stacking trays, they offer a motorized conveyor belt and a batch sorter for wire bundling.

Depending on the wire length being produced a 2 m and 4 m stacking system can be selected. In addition, Schaefer offers a 4 m conveyor extension to stack wires over 8 m in length.

The active stacking systems as well as the conveyor extensions are simply plugged together by means of modular connectors. For a quick installation a few adjusting screws allow for proper alignment with the wire processing machine. The wires in different lengths are stacked optimally thanks to pneumatic components which operate process depending.

The bundling of wires is made possible by a batch sorter which stacks the wire individually according to predetermined number of wires. An additional feature of the active wire stacking system is the reduced speed by half. This reduces the friction between contact and belt which results in increased longevity of the belt and drastically reduces the level of operating noise.
