Digital Force Gauge for Terminal ConnectionsElectric drive for wire pulling
Description
This instrument is designed for measuring tensile strength of soldered or solder-free cable joints with end sleeves, pins, solder pins or similar wire terminal components in accordance with DIN, EN, BS, IEC, UL, SAE and MIL standards. Depending on the standard the constant pull speed is adjustable.
Test samples are inserted into the receptacle adaptor, which has 12 different slot widths (from 0.5 mm to 6.0 mm), covering all the prevalent wire diameter and terminal types.
Its very simple operation allows the users to acquire reliable and reproducible test results: the user inserts the wire terminal into the receptacle adapter, and the open wire end into the combined clamp-pull device. After the protection cover has been closed, the motor starts. The wire will be fixed into position, and then constantly pulled.
Available pull modes:
- Pull and Break
- Pull and Hold (no-destructive test)
- Pull, Hold and Break
The traction force is collected at an accuracy of +/-0,5 % and is shown on the display at a resolution of 1 N. The peak value, at which the cable is torn, will be automatically saved in the memory and can be compared with a limiting value.
Optional software allows easy and quick preparation of test reports with statistics and individual results using Microsoft Excel. This software is available in German, English, French, Spanish and Italian. This software can also be used to change the measurement range.
Range of Application
The solid instrument is designed for quality control applications in laboratories and in production facilities.
