The Schäfer Group is a multinational company that develops designs and manufactures tooling, standard- and special machines configured as bench top, semi- and fully automatic machines which are suited for the wire processing industry. The Schäfer products are primarily used by suppliers for the automobile industry as well as manufacturers of white goods, computers and communication equipment. During the last years, companies manufacturing aircrafts, agricultural products, ventilation systems, control cabinets and sensors were added to the customer portfolio of the Schäfer Group.

The product range is completed by a range of quality assurance systems, machines for processing polymer optical fibers (POF) as well as tooling for stamping and injection molding machines.

Due to continued growth in products, sales and customer base the Schäfer Group is expanding worldwide which strengthens Schäfer in its current international orientation and global position.

The headquarters of the Schäfer Group, Schäfer Werkzeug- und Sondermaschinenbau GmbH in Bad Schönborn, Germany, was founded by Gisela and Bernhard Schäfer in 1985, and today still is owned by the Schäfer Family.
